Too much character-based unlockables in PVE. I'd love to have a bunch of primary characters, but the idea of having to unlock EVERY SKILL and upgrade EVERY HERO on each character just makes me cry. And that's not even touching faction.
"Well you could just not unlock all that stuff" to which I say... how can you even live like that? Of COURSE I have to unlock everything on every character. Must.. unlock.. must.. unlock..
There're skill tomes, but those are drop-based and thus you still have to shell out money to others for 'em.
I can deal with having to gear and rune heroes on each character, unlock them even, but skills and faction.. blah. Would rather see a thing where, once a character finished its home chapter - or even all three chapters - then they'd unlock every skill that's available on your account. It's goofy that heroes work that way, but not player characters. Of course, this would remove a huge gold sink, so it'll never happen. =( Maybe some special quests to unlock account-based faction on a character, also.

1) People selling things for ectos that aren't worth ectos.
2) People refusing payment in anything other than ectos.
3) Leechers/AFKers.
4) Minion AI.
5) Defy Pain Spearchuckers.
6) Skill effects that trigger on cast - Why some do and others don't. This should be consistent, but isn't. Examples: Glyph of Immolation and Searing Flames. The burning from Glyph is applied when the spells are cast. The burning from Searing Flames isn't applied until after the spell hits.
7) Lornar's Pass + Sujiang District. Mobs of 30 aren't acceptable, especially when they contain triple healers/resto-rits.
8) Mesmer armor. The males look like stereotypical gay fops from 1600's Europe.
9) Being told they are trying to not have any grind at all in the game, yet introduce things and change things that cause nothing but grind.
Farm nerfing, chest keys/lockpicks, consumables and Title Tracks, I'm looking at you.
10) The crazy-assed mission known as Vizunah Square. It's divided into two quarters: Foreign and Local. It's freaking creepy to go into the mission when you are Local and seeing an invisible Foreign Quarter team running the same mission - up to and including see drops for them appear in your instance. If you hit Alt when this happens, you can even see their floating nametags. If it is supposed to work this way, then they need to fix it so that it's a proper 16-man mission and those people actually are more than ghosts stealing your drops and vice-versa.
11) People blaming a wiki for builds being used. I mean come on, almost every 'great'' rated build on there was taken from Obs mode. Don't blame those guys for posting what they see winning teams using. It's a website, ffs.
12) Pet peeves that make me go past 10 per list.

1. The whole PvP vs. PvE argument. Everyone has a different idea of what is fun and the only people you're convincing by screaming about it, are the ones that already agree with you.
2. People who bash permasins while ecto farming with their 55monk or 330ele. You're making yourself invincible and dealing AoE damage. It's the same stupid idea with a different profession and it takes just as much thought and effort to do all of them. (aka, not much) Just because something is older, doesn't make it better. :/

I've just got a few main ones that bother me
*People with black dyed obsidian armor with chaos gloves and w/e EotN headpiece will clash the most with the rest of their outfit. Don't get me wrong I don't mind Obsidian armor or even Chaos Gloves but it's very easy to tell who's wearing it because they like the look and who's wearing it because they desperately want to enlarge their e-peen.
*A**holes, the kind who think it's cool to insult everyone, more than people who cause party wipes these people are the reason I don't do PuGs anymore. I don't care if you say you're "just joking" if the first thing I see you say is pointless string of insults you are black-listed for me. (why is the "ignore" list so damn small?!?).

Say what?
It's always been a 16-man mission for me (assuming someone is actually on the other side when I enter.)
Has this "phantom team" thing happened to you often?

Ever played Factions? Vizunah Square (and Unwaking Waters for the matter) is a double-party mission. In Vizunah Square, you meet up after a little while. In the time you are walking to the other team, you might come within radar distance of them and kill something. Whenever something is killed within radar distance you have a drop chance.

On the flipside, when people get too overzealous in reporting 'leechers'. If someone's been playing fine for five minutes, suddenly stops for 20 seconds, and then goes back to playing fine while saying "Sorry, lag, nearly got disconnected", the proper response is not to report them for leeching.

Oh wow. This should be in the stupidest thing you've heard thread. Um, Vizunah IS a 16 person mission. 2 teams of 8 start out in different areas, meet up at the first fight, and finish the mission together. If there isn't a team on the other side, it will be an all henchie team. Same with Unwaking Waters. Just... wow.

I think your post would serve better in that thread.
How is it not obvious to anyone that the guy's having graphical glitches that doesn't allow him to see the foreign quarters' participants?
Let's hear you say something that makes more sense if Vizunnah Square always worked that way for you.
As can probably be guessed, one of my pet peeves in the game/forum is people who run around and look so dam hard for someone to flame that they end up posting a completely idiotic/asshole comment.

1. Sellers who do not respond/are afk (though not set to afk).
2. Warriors who overaggro.
3. Warriors who overextend out of healing range, then bitch when they die.
4. People who 'assign' you a build when you join their party.
5. People who ragequit.
6. People who drop or spam what they are wielding for no reason.
7. People who demand to see the stats on the weapon you are wielding.
8. People who complain about the cost of runs.
9. PvPers who think they are better than PvEers.
10. PvEers who think they are better than PvPers.
And whats wrong with asking someone to offer? From personal experience, when I am asked how much and I say my price, its usually a straight no. No one even tries to haggle these days. So I'm more inclined to sell my item to you if you offer, that way we can atleast haggle to a price that meets both mine and the buyer's wants. I see nothing wrong with wanting someone to offer, but maybe its just me.

People who ping a build with 170 or 185 attribute points, but they are in 'elite' areas of the game (UW, FoW, Deep, Urgoz, DoA, Slavers). The attribute point quests are not hard, and except for Prophecies, they aren't even hard to find.

What I hate is when you start to type something but as you're busy you find out to your horror that you didn't open the chat thingy and your screen gets spammed with inventory screen, guild roster, skills, map, observer, you name it.
And because you want to cancel skills like a pro you made sure esc doesn't close windows, so you have to close them all manually.

There would be no problem if you could be sure the seller was a honest trader who likes to haggle lol. Problem is that when people say "offer" they often also say "no noob offers". Of course you can't expect to get a perfect dryad bow for 500 g, however it is still hard to see what a noob offer is, and therefore inexperienced players will have to make an offer that are higher than what they would expect a regular price to be. That is often what the "offer" sellers wants and that I think is not very cool, don't you agree? of course it's not a scam and people can offer and sell as high and low as they want to, but generally when people say "offer" they aim to get a much too high number.
Example: I once came over to a guy who sold a gold r10 tyrian cleaver 14^50. Excited since I love old fashioned skins, I decided to ask price. He said offer of course. I then offered a very reasonable amount of 5k, and that is even high for such a regular item. He then actually said, in these words: "No deal, try again". Pretty curious I asked him how much he expects to get for it and he answered "I don't know, offer". Now is he a reasonable trader? I think he's just trying to take advantage of me.
